Hidden between the tightly packed buildings of the Arts District in DTLA is an old building painted bright pink. Inside, visitors receive unlimited amounts of ice cream and an experience unlike any other. From learning about different flavors to trying them for yourself, the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) is a must-see for ice cream lovers in the L.A. area.

First stop is the Hollywood room. Visitors receive their very first ice cream sample of the day while reading the names of the imaginary celebrities on the Ice Cream Walk of Fame.

The banana room is an art piece turned obstacle. Take your time strolling through this room to see hundreds of painted bananas individually hung from the ceiling and be sure to take a picture on the swings before you leave.

If toppings are your thing, the gummy bear room will be a stop on your list. A MOIC employee will be waiting to serve you as many handfuls of gummy bears as you can eat. This colorful room also has music and a dancefloor.

One room you won’t want to miss is the sprinkle pit. Kick off your shoes and step into thousands of artificial sprinkles. You only get ten minutes in this unique swimming pool, so be sure to take your pictures with the floaties and beach balls before the lifeguard blows her whistle.

Tickets are $28 each and sell out quickly so sign up for the newsletter to make sure you know when they go on sale. If you love all things sweet and want to know what it’s like to swim in a pool full of sprinkles, head over to the Museum of Ice Cream for a sugar-filled afternoon that’s worth every penny.
