GIG is in 48 hours. Do you know what you’re wearing? I’m tired of the options we have when it comes to semi-formal attire. I simply refuse to succumb to a strapless taffeta dress embellished with a bedazzled rose sash, and I am really tired of Forever21. Can anyone relate? Are you left wondering what options you have left? You needn’t look further because I have you covered.

First, let me debunk a classic myth: you don’t have to buy a new dress. Heck, you don’t even have to wear a dress. Go into that closet of yours and pair your leopard pumps with that silly suit you had to buy for a business ethics conference that took place in UTCC freshman year. Now roll up your pants, ditch the blazer, throw on a cute glittery blouse and some red lipstick and you’re ready to WORK IT at GIG.

If decide that you want to eat ramen noodles for the next week and suddenly have enough money to buy a new dress, hit TJMAXX (San Dimas) or Nordstrom Rack (West Covina) before the mall. Walk into either store with focus and you’ll certainly find what you’re looking for at a great price.

Last week, I got the sweetest Gatsby inspired dress at TJMAXX; it was a total win. Finally, if you find that the mall is your only hope, I suggest H&M or Zara’s clearance rack. Check out the dresses that I have linked below. Happy shopping, my little fashionistas!
