The Urban Knights, however, mounted a 5-0 run in the final 90 seconds and came away with their second victory over the Cougars this season.
APU had four players register double-digit points. Junior forward Kelly Hardeman and sophomore forward Maggie Dumphy each had double-double performances in the losing effort.
Knights junior Sha’Nice Storey’s 22 points led the game.
APU drops to 5-3 in the PacWest and 9-6 overall. The Cougars return to action at Dixie State on Saturday.
