STOP what you’re doing and make this easy pumpkin spice latte at home

Need a study break but don’t want to walk to Starbucks? Make this fast, easy and delicious pumpkin spice latte in little over five minutes. Believe me, you won’t regret it and it tastes way better than Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte.

Servings: 1 cup

Minutes: 5

What you will need:

2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin

Ingredients 1 cup of whole milk

1 tablespoon of sugar

¼ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

¼ cup of hot espresso or strong brewed coffee (I used strong brewed coffee)

¼ teaspoon of pumpkin spice (can be found at Trader Joe’s for $1.99)

Whipped cream (I used Cool Whip)

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, pure vanilla extract, pumpkin spice and pumpkin purée over low-medium heat. Slowly stir the contents together with a whisk. Let it sit for four minutes.
  2. After the four minutes start to whisk the milk until it begins to become foamy.
  3. Put the hot espresso or the strong brewed coffee in a mug, and pour in the hot milk.
  4. Top the latte with whip cream and a sprinkle of the pumpkin spice.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Topping

*Note that you do not have to use whole milk. You can substitute for it with any milk you like; it will just not be as creamy.

Considering the sweltering Cali heat, you can also have an iced pumpkin Spice latte by simply letting the heated milk and coffee cool. When it’s cool, add ice and enjoy.

So stock up on those canned pumpkins, and celebrate the season with this latte!
