Despite some challenges, the new pizza spot is a fun experience in LA.

Located on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, famous YouTuber David Dobrik opened up his own pizza joint, Doughbrik’s Pizza, on Nov. 12, 2022.

The small pizzeria offers eight different slices: pepperoni, cheese, “meat lovers,” Hawaiian, supreme, veggie, spicy vodka and Chicago style. The pizzas are baked pan-style, making them thick slices.

The only side offered at the moment is cheesy breadsticks. As for drinks, water and soft drinks are available. Blue raspberry, cherry and Cola slushies are also sold along with chocolate and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Since Doughbrik’s is on a busy street, the building is small, has limited seating outside and does not have any parking. If you are unable to get seating, the pizza is served in a box so you can take it to your car to eat. For parking, you’ll have to park in a residential area and walk down or hope to get lucky with parking in the street or another lot. This isn’t just Doughbrik’s problem, this is something all restaurants on Sunset Blvd. face.

The only knock on the pizzeria is its hours of operation. Sunday through Wednesday it is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday it is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Furthermore, due to the pizzeria’s newness and popularity, there is still a line to get in. This leads to some of the pizza being unavailable or your order taking longer if they’re cooking up a fresh pie.

Because of that issue, I was only able to try a pepperoni, cheese and spicy vodka pizza. The pepperoni pizza was surprisingly sweet; the sauce and pepperoni added some sweetness to the hot, thick-cut pizza. The vodka pizza had a nice tang to it and the cheese was seasoned with some spice to add to the flavor. The cheese pizza was the blandest, even though the sauce and style of pizza make up for it.

Besides the wait and limited seating, the pizza itself was good quality and provided good vibes. The workers displayed excellent customer service and didn’t mind chatting it up with customers in line or seated eating.

So far, Doughbrik’s Pizza seems to be a successful venture for the YouTuber and could get better in the near future. The pizzeria definitely adds some LA vibes to some good food. It’s a fun experience to hit up if you don’t mind finding parking or waiting in line.
