The NBA Preseason has officially tipped off!

It’s officially fall, and you know what that means. Besides Halloween approaching, it’s time for you to get ready to start cheering on your favorite basketball teams again because the NBA preseason has officially begun.

The NBA preseason started on Sept. 30, and if you’ve missed some games, it’s time to get caught up to date on what has been happening around the league.

Many teams have already finished their international games to kickoff pre-season. Starting off with the NBA Japan games, the reigning champions, Golden State Warriors, went against the Washington Wizards in Tokyo on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Warriors beat the Wizards with a score of 104 – 95 and a team total of 29 assists and 22 turnovers.

The Warriors then received another win, beating the Wizards by a score of 96 – 87.

Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson even gave fans a little show by treating them to a 3-point shootout against teammates Jordan Poole and Moses Moody.

The Splash Brothers did what they always do and put on a show. They showed the younger players they are still the leaders of the team by making 21 out of 27 threes. Curry brought in heat by starting off the friendly competition with six straight three’s.

On another note, the Los Angeles Lakers are off to a rocky start. On Oct. 3, the Kings beat the Lakers with a final score of 105 – 75. On Oct. 5, the Lakers lost to the Suns with a final score of 119 – 115. The Lakers have another game on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. Will they be able to pull out a win? Make sure to tune in and find out what the final score will be.

From Oct. 6-8, you can be on the lookout for the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks as they will be playing against each other in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The two preseason games will be taking place at Etihad Arena, located on Yas Island. This is a very special location for preseason to take place because it is the league’s first game in the United Arab Emirates.

Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, spoke of his excitement to start preseason in Dubai by saying, “This is a great experience, bringing basketball here. Basketball should be a worldwide sport, it’s global, like everybody loves basketball.”

Other preseason games to look forward to include the Suns Vs. Lakers on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The Timberwolves vs. Heat also had a game on Oct. 4, ending with a Timberwolves win. The final score was 121 – 111.

For Clippers fans, Kawhi is back for the first time in over a year. Kawhi has finally been cleared to play after suffering an ACL injury in game four against the Utah Jazz back in 2021. Kawhi made his return on Monday, Oct. 3 against the Trail Blazers. The Clippers walked away beating the Trail Blazers with a final score of 102 – 97.

The Miami Heat will play against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. For more information on the full NBA preseason schedule, CBS Sports Chicago has provided a more in-depth look at location, dates and times that teams will be playing until preseason ends on Oct. 18.
