2023 will be the year of Rihanna. She is set to make her comeback with her headlining of the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
Rihanna’s performance was confirmed with an Instagram post of her holding a football. And just like that, the National Football League became the National “Fenty” League. This is a moment Rihanna fans have been waiting for, and it comes as big news for many because Rihanna has not released any solo music in six years.
While it was initially rumored that Taylor Swift would headline the halftime show, Rihanna confirmed that she will be making her comeback in 2023.
Rihanna’s confirmed performance post has since received over 6 million likes and over 100,000 comments. Many brands and companies have even used the iconic post for their own marketing by replacing the football with their company’s products.
Some took to TikTok to share their excitement as well, going as far as planning the song line up for her performance. Many think she will open her performance with the iconic lyric of, “Shine bright like a diamond” while others wonder if she will present any new music onstage. Others think she will bring her boyfriend (A$AP Rocky) out to perform with her. Many have also speculated that Kanye West will join her for a portion of her show because they have songs together, such as “FourFiveSeconds,” which was released in 2015.

Not only have her brands become insanely successful, but many refer to her brand as, “The Fenty Effect,” revealing that Rihanna transcends both the fashion and beauty industries. On top of becoming a billionaire, having broken multiple records in the music industry and launching her cosmetic brand, Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky also welcomed their first child together on May 13.
