There are lots of new hit shows and movies coming to streaming platforms next month

Although finals are coming up soon for APU students, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and HBO will be providing viewers with plenty of new releases to provide distraction and entertainment.

Starting with Netflix, there are a lot of new and exciting movies and TV show seasons coming out. Sadly, many will also be leaving Netflix, including Happy Gilmore, Silver Linings Playbook and Blue Mountain State: Seasons 1-3. Although the list is quite long, the new releases will definitely make up for the other great movies and TV shows that will be removed.

Here are a few movies and shows being added to Netflix, according to Digital Trends:

  1. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2
  2. You vs. Wild
  3. Ultraman
  4. Kevin Hart: Irresponsible
  5. New Girl: Season 7

One of the top picks for Netflix is “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”: Part 2. For those of you who have seen the first season of this series, the new one promises to be just as exciting. So far, a lot has happened during season one, but more terrifying and thrilling events are about to happen in season two.

“Navigating high-school life and friendships, a dangerous love triangle, and the interests of dark forces far beyond her control, Sabrina has a lot going on in her life — and it’s only going to get busier when a new threat attempts to literally raise hell in Greendale,” said Rick Marshall of Digital Trends.

Another promising show is “You vs. Wild,” a new series that features an expert surviving the wilderness and facing the test of survival in the most dangerous areas on Earth.

The last top pick for Netflix is a new show called “Ultraman.” This is an animated show and Netflix Original based on previous stories of Ultraman. Judging by the trailer, the show has potential.

In addition, Netflix will add a slew of hit movies, including “I Am Legend,” “Pineapple Express,” “Spy Kids,” “Valkyrie,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “The Imitation Game.”

On their website, Hulu announced what they’re adding in April. For those of you who love binge-watching on Hulu, they have announced the launch of a commercial-free option that viewers can now opt-in to. Hulu is releasing a huge list of shows and movies in April:

  1. Barbershop: Complete Season
  2. The Duff
  3. Teen Mom: Season 5 Finale
  4. Awkward: All New Episodes
  5. American Idol
  6. Game of Silence
  7. Chappie
  8. Love & Hip Hop: Season 6 Finale
  9. Hell’s Kitchen
  10. Lucifer

These are just a few of the titles of the shows and movies that will be available for viewers.

More movies than shows will be bracing Amazon’s digital library of content, with the most popular addition being the recently released “A Quiet Place” (2018). Titles of other shows and movies that will be available, according to Digital Trend, are as follows:

  1. Murder, She Wrote, Season 1-5
  2. The Tick
  3. Bosch
  4. The Addams Family
  5. Beetlejuice
  6. The Shawshank Redemption
  7. Mid90s
  8. Waiting for ‘Superman’

Last but not least is the HBO lineup. Although the final Game of Thrones season is the most anticipated show of the month, there is a lot more quality content to look forward to.

Here is a list of some of the TV shows that are being added:

  1. Game of Thrones: Season 8 Premiere
