Learning about lives and cultures that are different from our own starts with intentional choices; one of those choices is the music you listen to.

Some of the artists on this playlist are voices you may hear every day — Halsey, Selena, Chance the Rapper, Bruno Mars and Alessia Cara. Others, not so much. SZA is rather new, having released her second album, “CTRL,” in early June.  One of SZA’s songs was featured in a video Beyonce posted on Instagram in September, a huge moment for the up and coming artist. Laila is proud of her Arabian background and just started releasing music in English in 2015. For all the others, well, you’ll have to give them a listen.

Groove to this “Artists of Color” playlist whenever, wherever.
