Ever since I was young, I have been a huge fan of Hilary Duff. I enjoyed that she was mature and always a good role model for the age group who looked up to her. She didn’t get caught up in the Hollywood ways that trapped so many other Disney stars. So when I found out that she would be on a new television show, I was stoked.

After lots of patience, it is finally here. The new TV Land show “Younger” is premiering on March 31. For those who can’t wait until the end of the month, it is now available exclusively on Amazon Instant Video (score for those who thought of that brilliant marketing strategy – giving everyone an extra month to get addicted and enthused for the show).

I sat down to enjoy this refreshing and comedic pilot. I was instantly intrigued by the show and the fact that it portrayed just how jaded our generation can act toward previous ones.

The show follows a 40-year-old woman, Liza (Sutton Foster), who is newly divorced and whose daughter is studying in a foreign country. She is trying to get back into the workforce but is having a difficult time getting through to the younger generations after having been out of the game while raising a family.

She finally gets a chance to interview with a major publishing house in New York City. She meets Duff’s character Kelsey Perkins shortly after the interview and the two instantly hit it off, knowing they will be good friends at the office.

“Younger” is based on a book, cleverly titled with the same name, by Pamela Redmond Satran.

The show sets the tone for what is sure to be a great season of fresh new faces and a fun experience.
