For those who can’t get to places due to car issues and crave something sweet, tangy and healthy, there’s Thirsteas down the street from Azusa Pacific University. This juice bar is located about five minutes walking distance from school. It’s in the same parking lot area of Stater Brothers. It has juices, smoothies, boba and bowls, which I highly recommend. I had the tropical Acai Bowl, which had mango,unnamed-7 coconut, banana, strawberries, Granola and honey as toppings.

If you’re a sucker for mango, then this is your kind of bowl. Average cost for the regular-size Acai Bowl is about $6 and keeps you full. The smoothies are healthy, fresh and delicious. I have tried the cool cucumber smoothie, which is sweet with a hint of tangy-ness. The juice bar is small but has an open, spacious feel to it. The décor is modern with recessed lighting as well as chandeliers hanging along with skull piñatas. There is a menu above the register as well a computerized one on the wall. unnamed-2

The Acai Bowl I ordered was sweet, yet tangy, because of the berries. The Granola and honey formed a contrast for my taste buds that fulfilled my craving for something sweet. As I ate my bowl there, I couldn’t help but notice that music was playing, kind of like today’s top hits from Pandora. The bar has a chill cool, laid-back feel to it. The juice bar has social networks such as Facebook, so if you want to take a look at Thirsteas’ account, do so! Give Thirsteas a try; I promise you won’t regret it.
