Victoria F. definitely stole the show in the most recent episode

Oh how we love “The Bachelor,” the show based upon finding true love which often leads to drama, tears and plenty of tea. This season is certainly no different.

The current Bachelor, Peter Weber, has been the subject of much confusion, frustration, and an overabundance of terribly ridiculous situations.

Here are a few highlights from this season’s first three episodes:

Episode one yielded many great moments, but both of Hannah B.’s surprise appearances took the cake. We learned that Peter and Hannah’s love is still aflame despite her decision to accept Jed’s proposal and later ask Tyler out during the tell-all, leaving Peter in the dumps.

The resulting conversation between Peter and Hannah tugged on my heartstrings. In my eyes, it proved to be one of the most authentic, real conversations in recent seasons of “The Bachelor.” The producers used this emotional and genuine conversation as a cliffhanger for the following week’s episode.

Episode two beheld the hilarious “Champagne Gate,” in which Hannah Ann was accused of stealing the champagne Kelsey had set up to enjoy with Peter.

Kelsey ends up looking like a fool as she pops open a different bottle with Peter and gets smacked in the face with a burst of champagne, earning her the title of “Meme Star.”

Alayah was the focus of episode three. In this episode, the women of the house grew frustrated with her as she presented herself in an inauthentic matter. Despite her efforts to plead with Peter, he decided to send her home.

Toward the end of this week’s episode, Peter committed a huge reversal, allowing Alayah to return to the show. This action caused me to shudder, and the women of the house reciprocated my feelings of disappointment toward Peter’s decision. It led me to ask if Peter has his head screwed on correctly.

Now that you are all caught up, let’s address this week’s huge moment: Peter dancing with Victoria Fuller in front of her ex-boyfriend, Chase Rice.

Peter and Victoria had spent a wonderful day riding roller coasters and thrill rides at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. Their day at the park was supposed to end with dancing and a concert, but to the producers’ joy, it ended with a rather uncomfortable situation.

Peter, with Victoria’s hand in his, giddily gallivanted toward the large crowd of people standing between them and the artists on stage. He greeted everyone with a smile while Victoria shuddered. As she locked eyes with country artist Chase Rice, the camera showed Rice covering his face and turning to look away.

The Washington Post reported that the producers definitely knew what they were doing, and that Chase Rice had been warned by a friend that Victoria was on the show, but he was in denial of Victoria being the one who would be selected to attend his concert.

While dancing on stage, Victoria gave suppressed kisses to Peter and laughed uncomfortably as the crowd gleefully cheered for them. At one point she even muttered, “I want to die.”

Behind her stood Rice, with a strained look on his face, singing “When there’s no more roses to go around, hit me up girl, you know I’m down.”

After the short concert, Peter greeted Rice, struck up a conversation with him and even gave him his phone number. The conversation had me cringing as Peter remained clueless to the relationship Victoria had with Rice. Later in an interview Peter happily exclaimed, “Maybe we can have Chase Rice [sing] at our wedding!”

While this conversation went on, Victoria told a producer that Rice told her he did not want her to sign up for the show, begging the question: were Chase Rice and Victoria F. dating during the audition process?

The answer is a bit unclear.

After the concert fiasco, Victoria and Peter went on a dinner date, the typical Bachelor scene for tough conversations. Victoria confessed that she and Chase dated. Clearly in a state of shock, Peter replies: “Wait, what?”

Victoria rushed off to a corner in her sullen, fearful state as Peter attempted to console her. At the end of the date he gives her a rose, securing her spot on the show until next week.

We definitely know that Victoria and Rice have history, but as for any clear answers regarding the timeline of their relationship, there is little to be found.

US magazine writes that Rice asserted in an interview that he was greatly angered by the show for putting him in that situation. He also claimed his new album was about a med student whom he dated for a year and a half, not Victoria.

All we Bachelor viewers can do now is wait until the coming weeks to see what exactly will emerge out of Victoria and Peter’s rocky relationship.
